Package tour regulations change from country to country

If the trip has been purchased from another EU country, check before purchase that the company is registered and has arranged travel insurance in that country. The contact details for the authorities can be requested from the travel agency.

If there are problems with the travel agency after the trip has been purchased, the consumer can contact

  • the Consumer advice, where he/she can obtain advice for solving the problem
  • European Consumer Centre which serves as a settlement centre for consumer disputes which cross borders inside EU. EU settlement network operates in every EU member state and in Norway and Iceland

If the trip has been purchased in other than EU country, the consumer can contact the Finnish Embassy or the Finnish Consulate in the said country, for instance for contact details required to settle the matter.
